We had planned to access several prisons in the north where we hadn't been before.However the President banned access to the prisons especially for foreign nationals for two weeks before the elections which took place on Feb. 18th. But we did get into three in Lira as the Pastor talked to the OC who relented and let us in.
SO overall we did ministry in 8 prisons with 198 responses to the Gospel appeal
Namayingo 50 Responses.
We gave out solar lights (Luci light - specially developed for places like Africa. They travel flat and blow up. Are sturdy and waterproof and give 12 hours’ light for an 8-hour...Goats for the Orphans

Foundation of building laid but works have stopped due to lack of funding. A suitable replacement vehicle was obtained and the engine from the old vehicle put into it as it was a much newer engine.
They had a very good time with the prisoners of Kasenga prison and 12 inmates came to the Lord on Easter day. That was a new prison for SoM Congo and they were able to travel there in the new car with Pastor Israel's family and 2 members of the team ....DR Congo Update August
