We are in crisis, just received report from our center leaders that our orphans living with HIV/aids are starving as the care givers cannot raise anything to feed, Now that the lockdown has been extended to more 21days.we are less in funds as the church does not gather for fellowship, please let us share what we have for the sake of this little children 10kg of corn and beans will help a lot. True religion should be demonstrated now.
note - 10 kg of corn and beans costs 50000UGX which is about £11 sterling.

...The Borehole donated by Mr Fred Newton was commissioned in the presence of represntatives from the government and district council, members of the community , Pastor James Wandera and the International Directors of SoM ( Janis and Laurie Homewood) and the donor, Mr Fred Newton.

...On their second visit to Uganda one pastor suggested to Janis and Laurie that the prison ministry should be extended into other parts of Africa. This was repeated on their third visit by a Congolese Pastor (Pastor Israel Lenge), resulting in a ministry trip to DR Congo in 2009. That trip covered 4 countries – Uganda, Kenya (just for a weekend) Zambia, where through the choir ministry in the UK contacts in two Zambian prisons were already corresponding with Janis and Laurie, and finally up into DR Congo. Later that year a mission was undertaken to Kenya with the main aim of encouraging prison ministry there. Pastor Israel Lenge had been leading a church in...URGENT FUNDING NEEDED

...In DR CONGO we need £1100 to complete the roof on the Streams of Mercy Centre. Pastor Israel is living in it with his family and as the weather is getting colder the whole roof needs to be finished.
In UGANDA we need £650 to pay the first year's rent on the new building for the Streams of Mercy Clinic.
and £350 to compete a poultry project.

...THE CONTAINER
On 10th November we loaded a 40 foot container of aid for Uganda. There were medical supplies and equipment, tools and machines for vocational training, educational books and equipment, Bibles, Clothing, Office furniture, Kitchen ware and bicycles. It is due to arrive in Mombasa on Dec 28th. We still need to pay for transportation to our centre in Uganda ($2568) and the customs tax is still being negotiated but maybe several thousand dollars. We are praying that this tax may be greatly reduced. Any help towards these costs would be welcomed. There is a donation facility on this site to help with this.
