The main event - commissioning of the borehole
A crowd from the community together with some government officials gathered at the site of the borehole, which was protected by a wooden framework built around it. Many children had made placards thanking Fred for safe water and freedom from water borne diseases
There were a number of speeches made by representatives of the community and district and government officials,
followed by a Gospel Message based on the story of the Woman at the well.
Fred then cut the ribbon to launch the borehole 
Laurie then prayed, asking God’s blessing on the community and giving thanks for the gift of clean water which will bring life and health to them. He was then given the privilege of pumping the first water.
