In Congo the ministry to the churches was well received and there was an opportunity to preach on TV at peak time on a Saturday evening. 4 prisons and a small village were visited. 142 prison inmates and 15 people from the village community made professions of faith. ( See Proclaimer section)
Land has been purchased for the building of a Streams of Mercy Centre, and a well has been dug on the site to provide water for making 70,000 bricks. We have sent funds to pay for the brick making, and to register Streams of Mercy Prison Ministries, DR Congo, as an NGO. We now need to raise more funds to complete the building of the centre.
Ministry in three prisons in Zambia resulted in 169 professions of faith, and the church ministry was also well received. A 28 year old man who has had a below knee amputation caused by complications of leprosy was provided with a pair of elbow crutches by Streams of Mercy. These have already changed his life considerably. He is now being assessed for a prosthesis and we have been able to help with the costs of this also.
Praise the Lord for health, safety in travelling and for His blessing on
the ministry. Please pray for those who now have the responsibility of following up those who responded.
